Campella signed for Montpellier until the end of the season
In France and Montpellier, Kabela, who was released from Krasnodar and held talks with Olympiakos, will play at least until the end of the season.
Return to France and Montpellier for Remy Campella, at least until the end of the season, with the 32-year-old midfielder who he said had held talks with Olympiakos, officially announced on Wednesday (6/4) and returned afterwards of eight years at the club with which he took his first steps in Ligue 1.
Campella has been training with Montpellier lately to overcome an injury he suffered while on the field watching the game against Brest on Sunday (3/4).
At the time, the 32-year-old midfielder was convinced he was considering a return to his former team to play until the end of the season in order to have a rhythm in his legs for next year.
Montpellier announced their agreement with the footballer on Wednesday afternoon, with Kabelas signing until the end of the season and the club’s president stressing that nobody knows what will happen next year.
The club’s president, Laurent Nicolin, said during Campella’s official presentation: “Remy was here recovering from an injury. Given the situation in Ukraine, we had the opportunity to take him until the end of the season. Remy wanted this, he will soon join the rest of the group. It’s good for us.” Good for him and we’ll see in the summer if the story continues next season. We took him until the end of the year and I hope he enjoys it and helps us.”
While Kabela herself said: “Like I’ve always said, anything is possible. I’ve been here and trained for a while and that tickled me. I wanted to play, feel the competition. When I went to the game on Sunday, I felt like I did when I was younger and I said to myself why not. It’s good for me, it can also be good for me in Montpellier.
