Sergio Rico was discharged from hospital 82 days after the shocking accident
Sergio Rico was discharged from the hospital at midday on Friday (18/08) after three months of daily action and suffering a serious injury.
Good news for Sergio Rico and his family because on Friday (18/8) he was discharged from the hospital where he had been hospitalized for three months (82 days). Now he will continue his treatment from home, together with his wife, who never missed a moment at her beloved’s side.
The 29-year-old Paris goalkeeper had the world football community deeply concerned when news broke last May of his serious injury from a fall off his horse in a village outside Seville, leaving him in a coma.
His life was in danger, but he proved a fight for life, was able to get out of intensive care and has been showing daily signs of improvement ever since.
As he left the hospital, he spoke to the journalists who were waiting for him and said: “Thank you all for your respect and thank you to those of you who took the time to send me a message of support.
