With tears in his eyes, Verratti said goodbye to the Paris fans
Marco Verratti was honored by Paris for his 11-year contribution to the club before the game against Nice and said goodbye to his teammates and the Parisian world with tears in his eyes.
After eleven years, Marco Verratti from Paris is a thing of the past as he has agreed to a contract and will continue his career at Al Arabi.
The atmosphere at the Parc des Princes was emotional ahead of the Nice game and Paris paid tribute to the 30-year-old Italian midfielder for his contribution.
The experienced international was honored by the club with which he celebrated 30 trophies, walked across the pitch and said goodbye with tears in his eyes to the Parisian fans who adored him.
“I had 11 wonderful years. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.” Verratti said, among other things, while one of the banners decorating the Parc des Princes read: “A decade full of magic, 30 trophies with Paris, a monument named after Marco Verratti.
Verratti, who was not in the plans this season, has been playing for the Parisians since 2012, when they brought him in from Pescara for 12 million euros.
With Paris, the Italian midfielder has made 416 appearances in all competitions, scoring 11 goals and providing 61 assists.
