Ligue 1
Marseille 0-0 Toulouse: The chance to go to the top was missed
Marseille failed to beat Toulouse and a 0-0 draw left them top of Ligue 1.
AEK’s Europa League opponents Marseille had the opportunity to take advantage of Monaco’s defeat and move to the top of Ligue 1 after five games, but also fell victim to an upset and remained in the league 0-0 with the Toulouse in the “Velodrome”.
The Marseilles were at full throttle from the first minute of the game, but the guests were also quite threatening, especially on the counterattack. The biggest chances came in the second half, when Valentin Ronzier (after a counterattack) and Jordan Kloss (with a free kick) hit the posts.
