Gattuso takes over the technical leadership of Marseille, AEK’s opponents in the Europa League
Gennaro Gattuso is Marseille’s choice to replace Marthelino on the team’s bench. The Italian coach is expected to fly to Marseille within the next 24 hours to finalize his recruitment.
Last season, Marseille endured disarray as Marthelino was removed from the bench while president Pablo Longoria was close to the exit door but ultimately stayed there.
However, AEK’s opponents in the Europa League groups have found a replacement for the Spanish coach, namely Gennaro Gattuso.
The Italian coach has agreed almost everything with the Sealers and is expected to fly to Marseille within the next 24 hours to officially seal the start of the partnership between the two teams.
It is recalled that AEK and Marseille will compete on October 26th at the Velodrome and on November 9th at the OPAP Arena.
