Enrique: “Milan is a very big team, we are in the group of death and everyone can progress”
Luis Enrique praised Milan the day before Paris welcomed them for the third matchday of the Champions League (October 25th, 10:00 p.m., COSMOTE SPORT 2 HD) and at the same time described the group of death in which the two teams find themselves.
Champions League Group 6 includes AC Milan, Newcastle, Paris Saint-Germain and Dortmund. This means that there are two big games on each matchday and all teams believe they can make it to the knockout stages.
Luis Enrique fully supports this point of view. The Paris coach described him as a “group of death” and spoke in the best words about Milan on the eve of the game between them at the “Parc de Prince” (October 25th, 10:00 p.m., COSMOTE SPORT 2 HD, LIVE from Sportish) .
“Milan is a big team that has experience in big competitions. Like all teams, they have their ups and downs, but in my opinion they are doing very well at the moment.”
He has a very great coach and plays well with the ball at his feet. That’s why they call them the group of death, because anything can happen.” The Spanish coach emphasized his statements and added:
“We will play in front of our fans and we have to play better than Milan to win. We are a team that always attacks and always has the ball.”
It’s a message the players know: we should attack more than our opponent, but we should also know how to defend.”
When asked which player he would like to “steal” from Milan (as he received a similar question), he replied disarmingly: “No one, because they are Milan players and not Paris. I don’t want to mention anyone because everyone will be angry and that’s not a coincidence.”
