Premature end of season for Icardi likely due to injury
Mauro Icardi was injured while warming up in the match between Paris Saint-Germain and Angers and may be out for the rest of the season. The Parisians don’t count on the Argentine striker in the new year.
Mauro Icardi has returned to the starting XI against Angers but a warm-up injury is likely to keep him out for the rest of the season, according to Canal Plus, the channel that broadcast the Paris side’s game.
Paris Saint-Germain have made it clear to him, but also to Di Maria and Paredes, that they will not be counted with a view to the new year, so if the suspicion of the specific injury is true, then the Argentine striker will no longer wear the Paris jersey.
This year, Icardi has scored five goals in 30 games in all competitions, marking another mediocre year with the Paris shirt. His contract expires in summer 2024.
