Paris Saint-Germain hold Donaroma and expel Navas
Gianluigi Donaroma has beaten the Paris Saint-Germain crowd who decided to keep the Italy goalkeeper who arrived in Paris this summer and expel Kaylor Navas, according to a report by Equipe.
The die was cast, with an Equipe report stating that Gianluigi Donaroma is likely to remain at Paris Saint-Germain next season with Kaylor Navas leaving, ending the competition between them.
Last summer’s arrival at the Parc des Princes of Donaroma, arriving as a free agent from Milan, changed the balance, with the Costa Rican losing first place under the Parisians’ bars despite having held one previously more participation (23 vs. 22).
Mauricio Pochettino tried to swap the two goalkeepers but, according to Equipe, the Paris club’s management decided to keep one of the two, finally giving the Italian a chance to establish himself as the team’s No.1 goalkeeper.
As a result, Navas will leave the Parisians at the end of the season after three years.
