Ligue 1
Paris 3-0 Montpellier: Comfortable win and alone at the top for the first time this season
Paris failed to score against Mbappé, Mouani or Dembélé, but with two serves from Hakimi they beat Montpellier 3-0 and found themselves alone at the top of Ligue 1 for the first time this season.
Paris has been in a good mood lately and this was fully confirmed on Friday evening (03/11) when Luis Enrique’s team held the title of favorites against Montpellier and justified it with typical ease.
And that’s because in a game in which none of its four players in attack scored (the main ones were Dembele, Mouani, Mbappe, with Ramos coming on as a second-half substitute), it was a comfortable 3-0 for Matchday 11 of Ligue 1, with Kang-In scoring the first goal and Zaire-Emery and Vitinia taking the lead in the second half.
The Parisians showed their wild spirit early on, not only scoring in the 10th minute with an elusive shot from Kang-In after a great turn from Hakimi and a fantastic feint from Mbappe, but they also ended the first part with ten 5 of them in the final at home and 70% possession.
The visitors went into the dressing room at half-time trailing by just one goal, but in the second half Paris applied the same pressure and were rewarded with two more goals, a result of teamwork.
In the 58th minute, Zaire-Emery scored from inside the box after a wonderful backheel from Dembele to make it 2-0 (2 goals and 4 assists in his last five games against Paris), and eight minutes later it was 3-0 through Hakimi’s Vitinia Assist: In the finals, the French champions had 21 finals and double-digit goals (10).
