Lyon against the French league because Marseille was not punished
Lyon have made a statement about Ligue 1’s incompetence. The French club blames the decision not to punish Marseille for the incidents committed by its fans before the Ligue 1 match between them.
No punishment for Marseille for the incidents caused by its fans in its team LyonsDue to the serious injury of the second team coach, Fabio Grosso, the postponed game will be played between the two clubs.
In contrast, the French federation scheduled the game for December 6, with the Gons protesting that the league’s organizing authority had not punished the Marseille team since the game would be played in front of a crowd at the Velodrome. We remind you that the Lyon management requested that the match take place at a neutral venue.
For this reason, the French club announced in a statement that it would appeal the first instance decision and at the same time described the disciplinary committee that received the verdict as “incompetent”.
