Lille 1-0 Strasbourg: European leap in 87′
Zeki Celik’s goal gave Lille a valuable 1-0 win over Strasbourg and kept them alive in the fight for a European ‘ticket’.
The master small was in danger of being excluded from Europe Strasbourg back to the champions league race. After 90 minutes at “Pierre Moreau” only one team was happy with the result and that was the home side who managed to clinch the win 1-0 thanks to a goal in 87′ for the 34th Ligue 1 game.
Zeki Celik saved the victory for the “Lilouas”, who were harmless for long stretches. The visitors, who were last beaten against Bordeaux 3 months ago, had first chances to score but Leo Zardim kept the lead to zero and laid the foundation for victory.
