Grosso: “We shouldn’t think that we will return to the velodrome in an armored bus”
Fabio Grosso, who was injured after the Lyon coach was attacked by Marseille fans, has spoken out against Ligue 1’s decision not to punish Marseille but to postpone the postponed game.
Marseille’s postponed game against Lyon will take place on December 6th, without Marseille being penalized for the incidents caused by its fans, which resulted in a serious injury to its coach Fabio Grosso.
Before the game against Rennes, the Lyon coach spoke at the press conference about Ligue 1’s decision not to punish rivals AEK.
“I was pretty sure we shouldn’t go back there. But I have seen that this is not the case at the moment. I hope they make a different decision because something very serious has happened. It’s not normal, it can’t happen normally.
When something like this happens, a strong decision must be made, otherwise unacceptable things will happen again, and this time even more serious, and perhaps the person they happened to cannot speak because they may not have been hit in the eye. but somewhere else more serious.
I have nothing against Marseille, its real fans or the atmosphere in the stadium. However, we must not think that we will return to the velodrome in an armored bus.”
