Messi extends until 2024, Neymar is available on loan
Lionel Messi is expected to activate the renewal option in his contract and stay at Paris Saint-Germain until 2024, according to Sky Sports. At the same time, the Parisians are considering loaning Neymar next summer.
Paris Saint-Germain are also France’s math champions after the 1-1 draw with Lens, while Lionel Messi celebrates his first title with the team following his transfer last summer.
However, the exclusion from the Champions League has caused resentment in the ranks of the club and the changes in the summer are likely to be big.
Alongside Killian Ebape’s extension, the Parisian club want to keep Messi, with Sky Sports claiming that the two sides have found each other and the Argentine is expected to activate the renewal option in his contract soon.
Should that happen, Messi will stay at the Parc des Princes until 2024 with his current contract expiring in the summer of 2023.
The same report also states that the club are open to the possibility of leaving Neymar on loan in the summer.
