The Qataris are close to an agreement to grant a stake in Paris in exchange for 4 billion euros
Paris Saint-Germain management is fully committed and focused on the team, but is expected to sell a minority stake worth €4 billion to American group Arctos Partners.
Qatar (the sports investment fund) has controlled Paris Saint-Germain since 2011 and has full control of the team after 12 years. However, Qatar is expected to offload a portion of its shares in exchange for €4 billion after 12 years, according to reports from Athletic.
In particular, the report states that the American group Arctos Partners appears to be the most likely investor, with both sides in negotiations. The group holds shares in Liverpool, Atalanta and the Formula 1 team Aston Martin.
The Qataris are fully committed to the team but want to invest in the team. It is not yet known what share they will grant.
