Gaultier in court for racist comments, calls Mukudi “King Kong”
Christophe Gaultier, who will be in the dock on December 15, faces numerous allegations of “moral harassment and discrimination” from his former players. Among other things, he was accused of using racist insults towards AEK’s Arnold Mukudi when he played for Saint Etienne.
Christophe Gaultier will stand trial on December 15 for racist insults against athletes, as alleged by his former colleagues in Nice. Equipe has published a detailed report on its allegations, which has been republished by several international media outlets (French or not).
The specific investigation was launched last April by the Paris prosecutor’s office, but today (May 12), a few days before the trial, further incidents came to light, one of which concerns Arolde Mukudi of AEK.
In particular, a former colleague of his in Nice, Hatchim Ali Bae, who works as a VIDEO analyst (he is currently in Strasbourg), reported to the police that Gaultier referred to Mukudi and his teammate Mikael Nade as “the two Kings Kong”. at half-time of the Nice vs St. Etienne game on September 25, 2021.
Of course, this is not the only incident. France international Jean-Clair Todibo has revealed that others have called him a “terrorist”, while other reports claim Gaultier pressured the France international to “break Ramadan”. Hassan Kamara, now a Udinese footballer, had described him as “scum”.
At the same time, a former assistant of his, Frédéric Gloria, said that Gaultier did not want Nice to sign Bilal Brahimi because he is Muslim, amid accusations that “the Algerians are the worst.”
