Paris: Pochettino out of the top 5 for the Ligue 1 Coach of the Year award
French champion Mauricio Pochettino has been eliminated from the top 5 for the Ligue 1 top coach title.
The French Professional Football Federation (UNFP) has announced the five nominees for the Ligue 1 Coach of the Year award, which do not include Parisian champions Mauricio Pochettino.
Nominated for the award are Jorge Sampaoli, who all indicate he will lead Marseille, and Bruno Zenezio, who is chasing Marseille with Rennes. Julian Stefan has pulled off a small miracle with Strasbourg, who are also chasing a place in the Champions League, and Christophe Galtier’s Nis. Finally, Antoine Beauvoir is also a candidate to lead Nantes in the middle of the standings.
