Messi returned to training after almost a month’s absence
Lionel Messi has returned to Paris Saint-Germain squad training after almost a month of being absent due to the coronavirus and is counting on returning to full action.
The countdown to returning with Lionel Messi’s Paris Saint-Germain shirt began on Tuesday when the Argentine superstar returned to his team’s group training sessions, which he has been absent from recently.
The cause of the coronavirus that hit Pulga during his winter break with his family in his homeland, as the seven-time Golden Ball winner was absent from the Parisians’ commitments from December 22 and the 1-1 draw with Lorian.
His return to team training comes a few days after starting individual training, with Messi even referring to his health adventure by making the following comment on Instagram:
“It took me longer than I expected to recover but I’m almost back and I can’t wait to get back on the pitch.”
It should be noted that the 34-year-old superstar has been absent from Paris’ last three games while current data suggests he is a candidate to return next Sunday (23/01) as part of the Ligue 1 clash against Reims.
