Ebape: “Macron and Sarkozy advised me to continue in my country”
Killian Ebape confirmed that the subject of his stay at Paris Saint-Germain has shifted to the political arena, with Emanuel Macron and Nicolas Sarkozy advising the French winger.
Killian Ebape’s series ended on Saturday evening (21 May). Paris Saint-Germain have announced the extension of the 23-year-old French striker’s contract until the summer of 2025.
Negotiations were tough as Real Madrid had gone to great lengths to win him over. As a matter of fact, The Frenchman had also reportedly been under pressure from the Macron government not to leave Paris.
Ebape confirmed that Macron had advised him like Sarkozy, but the decision to stay was his own: “Emanuel Macron and Nicolas Sarkozy advised me to continue in my country, to continue making history in Paris. But above all it was my decision. I am happy with this choice.”
