At 15,000,000 Pochettinos compensation from Paris
Paris decided to fire Mauricio Pochettino, with the Argentine coach’s compensation reaching 15,000,000 euros.
THE Maurice Pochettino will be a thing of the past for Paris in the summer as the French champions have informed him of his intentions.
The bad results in the Champions League, but also last year’s defeat in Ligue 1, combined with the atmosphere in the dressing room, brought the 50-year-old coach to the exit door.
The third layoff in his career will make him a few million euros richer. This time he gets the highest severance pay of the three, despite only having one more season’s contract.
Pochettino will be compensated by the Parisians with 15,000,000 according to the deal signed by both sides in January 2021.
The amount exceeds by £400,000 what he received in compensation after his sacking from Tottenham in November 2019. Because the first release in November 2012 from Espanyol made him around 2,000,000 richer.
