Finally Pochettino from Paris Saint-Germain
Mauricio Pochettino has officially left the technical management of Paris Saint-Germain since Tuesday (5/7) as the French club’s management announced the end of collaboration with the Argentine coach after a year and a half.
Mauricio Pochettino is a thing of the past from the Paris Saint-Germain bench as the French champions announce the end of their partnership with the Argentina coach.
The 50-year-old took charge of the Parisians in January 2021 and during that time managed to lead the team in 84 games in all competitions with a record of 56 wins, 13 draws and 15 losses.
However, Pochettino failed to achieve success in the Champions League project as the team was eliminated in the quarterfinals this season and in the semifinals in 2020/21 season.
His successor is expected to be Christophe Gaultier, who stripped him of the title as Lille manager in 2020-2021 while he was on the Nice bench last season.
The Announcement of Paris
“Paris Saint-Germain confirm they have finalized their partnership with Mauricio Pochettino.
The Argentina coach and his staff joined the capital club in January 2021. The former captain of the “Red-Blue” sat in 84 games in all competitions on the Paris bench. Under his leadership, Paris Saint-Germain won the 2020 Trophée des Champions, the 2021 Coupe de France and the 10th French championship in its history last April.
The club would like to thank Mauricio Pochettino and his staff for their work and wish them all the best for the future.”
