Marcos Alonso: ‘It was never my intention to leave Chelsea’
Marcos Alonso explained that despite interest from other teams, he had always had intentions to stay at Chelsea and that he even has a very good eye for the renewal of his contract with the Blues.
Marcos Alonso spoke to goal.com where he mentioned, among other things, his future at Chelsea but also the scenarios that linked him to Barcelona.
The Spain full-back stressed that he doesn’t want to leave London but wants to sign a new contract and stay in London for more years as Chelsea is the most important club of his career.
“I’ve always been interested in other teams but to be honest I never intended to leave Chelsea. I have no problem staying at Chelsea. I still have a contract for a year and a half. Chelsea is the most important club in my career. I want to give back all the opportunities they gave me. That’s my only goal“Said Marcos Alonso, among others.
The 31-year-old winger has been at Chelsea since the summer of 2016 and has recorded 196 games in total, averaging 26 goals and 20 assists.
