Ranknik for Ronaldo: “He needs to score more goals”
Manchester United were eliminated from the top 6 after losing to Burnley, with Ralph Rangnik claiming in a press conference that while Cristiano Ronaldo should score more goals, the problem is collective.
Manchester United couldn’t get past Burnley’s home last Tuesday (8/2), with the two teams dividing a 1-1 draw in a game that included Cristiano Ronaldo as a second-half substitute and going to the left in the final visibly disappointed for the changing rooms.
Things at Manchester haven’t panned out for the Portuguese star like he expected over the summer when he decided to return to the team, despite the criticism he’s received.
The Red Devils meet Leeds away on Sunday (February 13), with Ralph Rangnik making it clear that the team’s problem is a collective problem.
However, he said that Ronaldo should score more goals, as well as other players, although he did not name them: “It’s not just about that the Christ. He needs to score more goals, that’s obvious. We created a lot of opportunities but we didn’t use them enough, but it’s not just about Cristiano.
