Ranknik: “Fourth place for United is the greatest success”
Manchester United meet Brighton on Tuesday (15/2) and Ralph Rangnick claimed that the fourth-biggest achievement for his team at the moment is fourth place in the Premier League.
Southampton (1-1) forced Manchester United to lose their second point in a row after the draw against Burnley (1-1) on Saturday (February 12). The Red Devils remain fifth in the Premier League with 40 degrees.
Before the game against Brighton on Tuesday (February 15), Ralph Rangnick spoke at the press conference about the current goals of the team and stressed that fourth place was the best possible.
“Right now that is exactly what Manchester United needs and wants: to finish fourth in the league. I think that’s the highest possible performance that we can achieve.
In the Champions League we hope to get through to the next round, it’s not easy. It’s fourth place in the championship, that’s our goal.
I’ve been on the team bench for 10 or 11 weeks, of course I know what’s needed for next season, but now is not the time to discuss it with anyone. “I’m totally focused on tomorrow, after Sunday, Wednesday.”
