Controversial 4th referee reaction to Guardiola on Kane’s goal
The reaction of the 4th referee in Manchester City – Tottenham, immortalized by the TV camera, turning his sympathetic gaze to Pep Guardiola after Kane’s winning goal at 90+5′, has caused much debate in England.
Harry Kane equalized Manchester City against Etihad and shot Tottenham’s friends to heaven with two personal goals. The England star gave the Citizens a free-kick at 90+5′ and scored with an incredible header from a Koulousevski cross to make it 3-2.
The contrast of emotions was stark, with the Londoners’ friends celebrating the goal wildly, as did Antonio Conte, whose terrifying leap into the arms of his staff went viral on social media.
But on the other hand A few yards away, Pep Guardiola held his head in stunned disbelief as he couldn’t believe what he was seeing. What has of course caused a lot of discussion and different interpretations in England is the controversial reaction of the 4th referee.
In particular, as captured in the video, the moment Kane scores the winning goal the referee shifts his gaze to Guardiola and pulls a strange grimace, which many interpret as a sign of sympathy for the Spanish coach.
