Leeds 2-4 Manchester United: Triumph for the Devils at Eland Road
In an exciting game with six goals and incredible emotions, Manchester United won a great 4-2 away win over Leeds and made an important step to finish 4th, leading to the new Champions League.
Leeds and Manchester United took part in a football promotional match at Eland Road on Sunday afternoon (20 February) in which Ralph Rangnick’s players emerged victorious in the final.
And that’s because they were imposed as part of the Premier League’s 26th game with the impressive 4-2, with that three-pointer cementing them in 4th place and giving them a definite boost in the fight they’re giving for the exit to the Champions League.
Impressively, the Manchester side have recorded their 11th win away from home in the last 17 meetings between the teams in the league, with the Peacocks having just one win in that period in September 2002.
The game
The torrential rain that fell on the field did not prevent Manchester United from fully imposing their game in the first part of the Eland Road game against Leeds, which was rewarded with two goals.
The first came in the 34th minute when the Red Devils took a corner kick for the first time in the Premier League this season, with Maguire taking the lead to make it 1-0 after a Shaw shot and a misplaced exit from Messier.
That goal gave psychology to the guests and in the delays of the first part they “hit” again, with Lindelof impressively bringing his team forward and paving the way for Sancho, who headed a sweet cross from the right side to the height of a small area Bruno Fernandes.
