Chelsea: Fans support Ukraine and ask for clarifications from Abramovich
The Chelsea Supporters’ Trust, a Chelsea supporters’ association that acts as the club’s guardian, has issued a statement asking for clarification from Roman Abramovich and condemning the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
The Chelsea Supporters’ Trust, a Chelsea-recognized not-for-profit supporters organization which acts as the club’s trustee (a practice widely practiced in English sport, with these associations having saved several teams from bankruptcy by temporarily taking over management and shares) , issued a statement after the announcement of Roman Abramovich’s decisions.
In their announcement, the friends of the “blues” condemn the Russian invasion of Ukraine, openly support it, ask the major shareholder of the European champion for clarification and make themselves available to the Chelsea Foundation, which will take over the management of the team.

The Chelsea Supporters’ Trust is deeply saddened and shocked by the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the subsequent loss of life.
We note Mr Abramovich’s announcement and would like clarification on what this announcement means in relation to the Chelsea Government.
The Chelsea Supporters’ Trust Board is ready to work with members of the Chelsea Foundation to ensure the long-term interests of the club and supporters.
