Eriksen: “I’m a happy person, great feeling to be back”
Christian Eriksen returned to action after 8.5 months and in his statements after the end of the game between Brentford and Newcastle he expressed his pleasure to have played again.
Christian Eriksen stepped onto the pitch and attended the Euro 2020 in Denmark – Finland 8.5 months after suffering a heart attack at Brentford – Newcastle. The Dane came on as a substitute in the 52nd minute and made the most of his first minutes of the game.
Despite the 2-0 defeat by Newcastle, Eriksen couldn’t hide his delight at his return to the pitch in his post-match statements.
“If you factor out the result, I’m a happy person. To have experienced what happened and to come back is a wonderful feeling, I’m glad it happened. It’s been a warm welcome from day one. Brentford takes great care of them me.” Everyone is very happy for me and willing to help.
