Klopp: ‘I don’t know if I will renew my contract with Liverpool’
Jürgen Klopp has a contract with Liverpool until 2024, but when asked if he was thinking about extending it after it expires, he said he didn’t know what would happen by then.
The first English title this year belongs to Jurgen Klopp’s team. Liverpool beat Chelsea on penalties to celebrate winning the League Cup. On Wednesday (2/3) the Reds qualified for 8th place in the English Cup, beating Norwich 2-1 and clinching another title.
At the same time, the hunt for champions Manchester City continues in the Premier League, now down six points by a game. In this echo the German coach was asked if he would extend his contract with the club, which expires in 2024.
Speaking to ITV Sport, he clarified that he still doesn’t know what’s going to happen: “I don’t know, I really don’t know. Things will take time. We need time, of course. The club’s management is interested in development.”
