Tuhel: “I can’t imagine Chelsea without Abramovich”
Thomas Tuchel referred to the internal developments at Chelsea after Roman Abramovich’s decision to sell and made it clear that for him the London club and the Russian were two identical concepts.
Because of the war in Ukraine there are many changes and developments in the field of sports. On Wednesday (3/3) Roman Abramovich announced his intention to sell Chelsea, stressing that all the money will go to the victims of the war.
Thomas Tuchel, who broke out a few days ago after persistent questions from journalists about the Russian and Abramovich invasion, argued that the new dates are a big change for the club. At the same time, he claimed that Chelsea mean Abramovich to him, having identified the Russian with the club.
“It’s too early to talk about it because I can only imagine Chelsea with Roman Abramovich. So it’s very difficult for me. It’s a big change.”
We didn’t talk about it before the Luton game. We accepted it. The players watch TV, they’re informed, so of course they knew. But again we only focused on football and our preparation.
Maybe some players are more affected, others less, but in the end we managed to focus. ΔI don’t think I need to talk about this. I am very sure that the club will talk to us and the players.
ΔI’m so worried because I still feel privileged and in a good position. And I still hope and trust the club. “I’m not the type of person to worry about things I can’t control.”said the German coach.
