Only three times in their history have United experienced such a nightmare at Anfield

Manchester United were completely disorganized in the second half of their away derby against Liverpool, ending with an unthinkable 7-0 in the final, a result that had only happened to them three times before.

Over time, the derbies between Liverpool and Manchester United hide very great emotions and have brought great victories to both camps, but what happened on Sunday evening (05/05) at Anfield on the 26th day of the Premier League was unprecedented in the history of the both teams.

And that’s because Klopp’s side swept in the second half, where they scored six goals, with United remaining goalless and the Reds celebrating their biggest win in the mother of all battles with a surreal 7-0 in the final.

It was the first time in the Premier League era that the Red Devils conceded seven goals in one game. If anyone wants to find out when they last conceded seven goals they have to go back 63 years, to 2nd January 1960 and 3-7 from Newcastle.

However, Liverpool are not the only team to have beaten United by an unreal 7-0 as the Manchester club have had three other shots with the same goal line since inception. Remarkably, they all came within a few years: the first from Blackburn in April 1926, the second from Aston Villa in December 1930 and the last (before the Anfield nightmare) from Wolves in December 1931.
