The manhunt begins for a fan who took the pitch to celebrate the 7-0 win over United
The Liverpool fan, who stormed Anfield to celebrate with Klopp’s players who scored a seventh goal against United, is in trouble and the Reds announced they would launch an investigation into his whereabouts.
Liverpool had great moments on Sunday night (03/06) when they beat Manchester United 7-0, but in the final of the game there was a spelling mistake that spoiled the mood of the Reds people.
The reason a fan invaded the field to celebrate Firmino’s goal with the players (he even fell on Andy Robertson), with Jurgen Klopp furious with him and not hiding his anger on camera.
However, apart from the German’s reaction, the Liverpool official will not sit idly by as the Reds announced on Monday (03/06) they will be conducting an investigation to locate the attacker, despite catching him and removing him from the grass security guards.
“Liverpool have launched an immediate investigation to identify and rule out the lone attacker in Sunday’s Premier League clash with Manchester United at Anfield.
The attacker ran onto the pitch and collided with Liverpool players, risking injury as they celebrated the seventh goal in front of the main stand. There is no excuse for this unacceptable and dangerous behavior.
The safety of the players, colleagues and supporters of the team is of paramount importance. The club will now follow the official sanctions process and will have the alleged perpetrator’s account suspended until the process is completed.
If the perpetrator of trespassing is found guilty, the perpetrator could face a criminal record and a life ban from Anfield and all Premier League grounds. These actions are dangerous, illegal and have serious consequences.” Liverpool announced this in a statement.
