Tuhel has come to terms with Chelsea fans for showing no respect for Ukraine
The action of the Chelsea fans to rhythmically call out Abramovich’s name while applauding Ukraine in the game against Burnley was opposed by Thomas Tuchel, who demanded respect in the press conference.
Tensions erupted in the stands at Turf Moor with fans of both teams just before the start of Burnley’s game against Chelsea.
At a time when there was applause from the public for the victims of the war in Ukraine, Chelsea fans did not respect the one-minute applause dedicated to the tested Ukrainians and rhythmically called out the name of Roman Abramovich, followed by intense displeasure from friends by Clarets.
Indeed, the move left Thomas Tuchel alginate as the European champions’ coach made it clear that the Londoners’ friends who followed the team at Burnley headquarters should not stop the applause but show respect for a sacred moment.
“It was not the right time to shout that slogan. When we show solidarity, we all show together. We all kneel together, when a member of our club dies, we show respect. This is not the time to convey other messages .”stressed the German coach, adding to the incident:
“We do this because of the club we represent. We show respect and our fans have to respect it. We do it for the people of Ukraine and there is no other opinion about it. They have our thoughts and our support and we should do.” to be united as a club”.
