Dias opened the scoring for Liverpool while at the same time collapsing after a punch from Sanchez
Luis Dias opened the scoring for Liverpool against Brighton with an impressive header, while the Colombian striker collapsed on the ground after being punched in the face and chest by the opposing goalkeeper.
Liverpool weren’t good against Brighton for the first 10 minutes but then took the reins and found their way into the net on their first big chance of the game.
This happened in the 19th minute, when Matip threw a ball behind the center and Luis Dias threw himself behind the Seagull defense to pass Sanchez on the exit and headed in from high up in the big room (0 – 1) .
Notably, the Colombian went down on his header from cover of the Brighton keeper (he found it with his hand on his head and foot on his chest), with the VAR controlling the phase for himself for a possible red card the Spaniard, but ultimately not to punish.
It is noted that after the tag he received, Dias stayed on the ground for about two minutes to receive medical treatment and continue playing normally.
