Cristiano Ronaldo scored 807 career goals, 49 hat-tricks at club level and guided Manchester United to a very important 3-2 win over Tottenham in the Battle of the Four in the Premier League.

Cristiano Ronaldo was on the ropes with Ralph Rangnick a few days ago for his participation in the Manchester United derby with Manchester City and went to Old Trafford only to give answers. After 83 minutes against Tottenham he had five shots, 4/4 headers won, 93% accuracy in transfers and… three goals in a 3-2 win in Game 29 of the Premier League.

The Portuguese’s first goal came in the 12th minute with an amazing long-range effort, minutes after he took out his vocal cords to claim a penalty for a hand inside the box. The game was played at a good pace and both teams threatened a second goal of the game and it finally came from the Londoners.

Harry Kane capitalized on a cross from the right to equalize in the 35th minute to make it 1-1 and scored 94 away goals, equaling Wayne Rooney’s record but with 105 games fewer.

The joy lasted for a while as it was Ronaldo’s turn to score a historic goal three minutes later. The 2-1 was the 806th goal of his career with men. That makes him the top scorer in football history by any measure, even including that of the IFFHS, who have given Joseph Bichan 805 goals to date (FIFA had recognized the Portuguese as the top scorer since last year). However, it is undeniable that with 95 goals he caught Ruud van Nistelrooy in 4th place among Manchester United’s top scorers in the Premier League. Leading Wayne Rooney with 183, Ryan Giggs with 109 and Paul Scholes with 107.

The visitors came into play strongly in the second half and had a good moment with Heung Min Sean in 61′, but they needed an opponent’s help to score a goal. A Sergio Regillon cross from the left grabbed Harry Maguire and sent the ball into the helpless David de Gea’s house.

No problem for the “red devils”. Ronaldo tried his feet first and eventually found the winning goal with his head in 81 minutes, amassing 49 hat-tricks at inter-club level. That goal was the win, with Manchester United beating direct opponents for 4th place in the Premier League and overtaking Arsenal, even by four games more.
