In an interview with Sky Sports, Jose Sa said that the three years he played for Olympiakos helped him mature a lot while playing for a team that had time to participate.

Jose Sa has done really well this season wearing the Wolves jersey and was one of the Premier League’s top goalkeepers in the first half of the season.

The Portuguese former Olympiakos goalkeeper gave Sky Sports an interview in which he referred to his transfer from Piraeus, the characterization of Gary Neville on his face as the “top transfer of the Wolf Summer”, but also to his compatriot and former keeper the “wolves”, Rui Patricio.

ΤThey helped me for three years at Olympiakos, I played a lot and matured, I needed that confidence. My years there have been very good“he said of his move to the red and whites.

Gary Neville called him the Wolves’ best transfer, with the Portuguese goalkeeper responding with the best of words. “It’s nice to see a legend with a big name in football talk about you. It made me happy, I’m in the best league in the world. I think I came here at the right time. Maybe I could have come a year earlier, but I think I came when I had to“.

Of course you couldn’t help but be asked about the former Wolves player and Sas teammate in the Portuguese national team: “Rui is a very good goalkeeper so it was difficult to replace him, it wasn’t easy at all. But we’re a very good team here. They helped me adapt to the team and the championship very quickly. Not only have they helped me, but I’ve gained the confidence to help them“.
