Manchester City, the richest club in the 2020/21 season according to Deloitte
Manchester City emerged as the richest club of the 2020/21 season for the first time, according to the Deloitte report, with full-year revenues of €644.9m.
Deloitte’s annual Football Financial Report for the 2020/21 season found Manchester City at the top of the list.
Citizens left for the first time the second realas they recorded the most revenue last season and rose from sixth place to the top in 2019/20.
Despite the economic fallout from the coronavirus pandemic, the English champions remain recorded an increase of 17% in 2021 with an annual turnover of 644.9 million euros.
City left Real in second place, Barcelona fell from first to fourth after the financial turmoil, while Bayern sit third.
It is worth noting that according to the Deloitte survey, clubs have lost over €1.7bn in total revenue to Covid-19 in the last two seasons and that out of the 10 richest clubs, five are in the Premier League ( City, United, Liverpool , Chelsea, Tottenham).
Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus complete the top ten.
