Conte: “It would be disrespectful to talk about Lukaku and Chelsea”
Tottenham manager Antonio Conte and former Inter coach Romelu Lukaku refrained from commenting on recent developments with the Belgian striker at Chelsea, saying it would be disrespectful.
The situation in Chelsea between Thomas Tuchel and Romelu Lukaku is deplorable after the latter lamented the statements and complaints about the horrors of the German coach’s game. Tuhel left the Belgian striker out for the 2-2 game against Liverpool while announcing that the player’s future would be discussed on Monday (3/1).
According to reports in England, the 28-year-old forward was surprised by the scope of his interview with Sky Sports. In fact, he deleted his Twitter and Facebook accounts.
At the same time, rumors are circulating about his departure from the “blues”, with Tottenham – because of Antonio Conte – being one of the possible targets of the Belgian international. For his part, however, the Italian coach declined to comment on the incident:
“I honestly don’t want to talk about Romelu because he’s now on a different team. “I think it would be disrespectful to talk about him and Chelsea.” said Conte characteristically.
