The Ricketts family traveled to London to reassure Chelsea’s friends who are against his family takeover. Potential investors will also meet with the Stamford Bridge Blues to come up with a proposal for the stadium’s refurbishment.

The Rickets family traveled to London to convince the club’s friends that they could run Chelsea and, contrary to the belief of some fans, ensure a bright future for the club, according to Standard.

The reason for this trip is that the friends of the blues were reluctant to hear about the possible family takeover for two reasons. On the one hand, because in the past the “patriarch” of the family, Joe Rickets, had previously been accused of racist e-mails, on the other hand, criticism was also leveled at the administration of the Chicago Camps (baseball team in America).

The Ricketts family are optimistic about buying the club thanks to financial backing from American businessman Ken Griffin, whose fortune is estimated at almost £20bn.

In London they plan to meet with Chelsea Pitch Owners PLC about their plans to rebuild Stamford Bridge, but also with blues fans (Chelsea Supporters’ Trust).
