Salah had Riediger’s back in the fight for the fastest sprint
Mohamed Salah is one of the fastest forwards in the world, but the record for the fastest place in this year’s Premier League is not held by him but by a defender: Antonio Riediger.
A year ago Antonio Riediger’s name was on Chelsea’s transfer list and he was looking for a team to continue his career and not be disarmed. Well, this situation is reminiscent of a science fiction scenario as none of it is true.
The Germany international defender is one of the main wheels of the machinery Thomas Tuhel has put in place at Chelsea’s defence, and he makes trouble for any opponent while the Blues tremble in fear of losing him as he’s free in the summer and they haven’t been in at that moment – due to the sanctions imposed on them by the government – the opportunity to negotiate the renewal of his contract.
How valuable the reader is is also shown by an honorable first place, which the top statistics company Opta published on Tuesday (22.3.) via its official Twitter account the list of the six best players in terms of the fastest sprints in this year’s Premier games league.
In first place we meet the 29-year-old centre-back, who at one point developed a speed of 36.7 kilometers per hour in the game against Brighton, leaving Mohamed Salah in second place with his fastest sprint of the year at 36.6 kilometers / time.
Andama Traore (Wolves/Barcelona), Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa) and Patson Dhaka (Leicester) are the other three forwards, besides Salah, who are on the list of fastest in this year’s Premier League, although it’s impressive that there is one is another defender: Salah’s teammate at Liverpool, Ibrahim Konate.
