Zorginio’s manager throws five Italian teams looking for acquisitions
Zorginho’s contract with Chelsea expires in 2023 and this has raised alarms at several clubs. The naturalized Italian midfielder’s manager explained that he can currently play in 4-5 Italian teams.
Zorginio became a Serie A footballer, playing for Verona and Napoli. The team that sent him soaring in terms of title wins, fundraising and popularity was Chelsea.
But now that the Blues are in dire financial straits, it’s not out of the question that the European champions might consider a return to his… roots with the Blues but also with the Italy national team, as his manager Joao Santos has admitted.
“It’s a dream for him to play in Serie A, his heart is there. At the moment he can play in 4 or 5 teams: Milan, Inter, Juventus, Roma or Napoli.”stressed first, when asked to confirm or refute the latest scenarios that wanted Torino to bat for the 30-year-old midfielder, he replied:
“There are several clubs interested in him. In the past I’ve spoken to the people of Paris and Barcelona and to Massara at the Milan side but I don’t know if his interest is still there.”
It is true that there is nothing we can do at the moment because Chelsea have no way of buying, selling or renewing players.
“Zorginio has a contract until June 2023 and after the World Cup we will see if we extend his contract with Chelsea.”
