Manchester United: Cristiano Ronaldo loses millions due to the failures of the Red Devils
Manchester United continue to find themselves in a period of drought that is costing Cristiano Ronaldo millions.
On August 27, 2021, Manchester United announced the return of Cristiano Ronaldo but things are not going the way either side would like.
The Portuguese signed a rich deal that will net him around €20m while he received €31m at Juventus.
To make up the big difference, the Red Devils offered the Portuguese plenty of bonuses that would net him several millions. Only this year at least he won’t be able to get them.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s contract called for a total bonus of around six million euros to help achieve the club’s goals, but none of them are being achieved.
The Portuguese would receive around three million if Manchester United reached the Champions League final, 1.8 million if the Reds won the Premier League and a further 1.2 if they won any of the other titles.
Sure, the six million before what Cristiano Ronaldo made in his huge career looks like a drop in the ocean, but it’s still a waste.
