Ukraine midfielder Andrei Kravtsuk left Torpedo Moscow and Manchester City allowed him to train with her until the end of the season.

THE Andrei Kravchuk fought in Moscow torpedo however, since last year the Russian invasion of Ukraine has forced him to leave the club.

The 23-year-old midfielder was a team-mate of Alexander Zinchenko at Shakhtar academies and when the Manchester City full-back was briefed on the situation, he spoke to ‘citizens’ officials about the matter.

Kravchuk terminated his contract and traveled to Manchester, where, after special leave from the Premier League, he will train with the English champions K23 until the end of the season.

“I felt very uncomfortable. I was playing in a country that had invaded my homeland. Leaving the club was a one-way street. People in Ukraine wouldn’t understand me if I continued playing there.”he explained.

Kravchuk did not have to return to his homeland, since Torpedo traveled to England directly from Turkey, where he was preparing. However, his family is in Kyiv and his brother Alex is enlisting in the armed forces.

“I tell him every day how proud I am of him, not only because he protects our family, but because of the whole country and the Ukrainian people. He lives and fights. I’m really worried. I’m out in groups on the phone and I always get bomb alert messages: “Every time these warnings come, I’m worried. The only thought is that my family could be killed.”
