Jonny Evans admitted after his return to Manchester United that his children didn’t believe he was playing for the ‘Red Devils’.
THE Johnny Evans returned to Manchester United after 8 years. The 35-year-old defender played in the first team of the “Red Devils” from 2006 to 2015 and made 198 appearances.
The former Northern Ireland international made a surprise move to United last week, signing a one-year deal.
Evans revealed his return to Manchester United holds special meaning for his children, who refuse to believe their father has played for the club in the past.
In his statements he said: “I think they know I used to play for Manchester United but I don’t think they believe me in that sense. It’s nice to be back, now they can watch me. My eldest son was born in my last season at the club so it would be nice to bring him to the club “Old Trafford”.
