City make Haaland the highest-paid player in England with a mythical contract
Manchester City want to extend Erling Haaland’s contract until 2028 and increase his annual salary to €30m, making him the highest-paid player in the Premier League.
Erling Haaland was a big investment for Manchester City last year, guiding them to the treble. The Norwegian superstar’s contract runs until 2027, but the Citizens want to keep him for another year.
According to “Sun”, the European champions want to extend their partnership with the 23-year-old Norwegian and are therefore preparing to submit a new offer with annual earnings of 30 million euros.
If that happens, Haaland will become the highest-paid player in the Premier League. Based on his current contract, he will receive €17.7 million in net playing time.
Last season he had 52 goals and nine assists in 53 games, while this year he has six goals and one assist in his first six games.
