Liverpool are pushing ahead with talks to extend Kostas Tsimikas’ contract until the summer of 2027, according to a post by Fabrizio Romano.

Kostas Tsimikas is in his fourth season at Liverpool and the Reds want to keep the Greek left-back for years to come. Therefore, they proposed extending his contract.

On Friday (September 8), veteran Athletic journalist James Pearce wrote that Tsimikas was ready to sign a new contract that ties him to Liverpool until 2027.

Two days later, Fabrizio Romano confirmed the advanced negotiations between both sides in his own tweet: “Liverpool are now moving forward with discussions about a contract extension with Csimika. Negotiations are progressing so they can be completed as quickly as possible.”

Tsimikas has been with Liverpool since 2020 when they bought him from Olympiakos. The 27-year-old left-back, whose current contract with the Reds expires in 2025, has played 62 games for the English club in all competitions.
