Guardiola for Klopp: “He makes me a better coach, we will dine together in the Hall of Fame”
Pep Guardiola had only good things to say about Jürgen Klopp in the press conference after the Etihad derby, the Catalan said, among other things, that he was trying to copy the German Liverpool coach.
Manchester City and Liverpool both put on a great display of football on Sunday afternoon as they drew 2-2 to keep the tension at the top with Guardiola and Klopp showing warm-ups in the final. .
A similar scenario was repeated a few hours later just before Klopp made statements on the pitch as the Manchester City manager praised the German for his role in his own press conference.
“I don’t know if Jürgen respects me, but I respect him a lot. He makes me a better coach, his teams have a positive attitude, they are dynamic and they want to attack. I try to copy him.”
We’re not friends, we don’t have dinner together, we’re going to have dinner in the hall of fame sometime. I have his phone but I haven’t called him.
“I have a lot of respect for him and he knows we will try to beat him next Saturday.” As is typical, the two teams are now preparing for their second matches in the quarter-finals of the Champions League to meet on Saturday afternoon (16/4) in the first semi-final of the English Cup.
