Guardiola: “Haaland could have scored 15 goals, I can’t sleep because of the missed opportunities”
Pep Guardiola joked that he had lost his anthem due to Erling Haaland’s many missed chances, pointing out that the Norwegian could have scored twice as many goals so far.
Erling Haaland has played eight games and scored seven goals this season, with Pep Guardiola suggesting the Argentine could have scored twice as many goals for Manchester City.
He jokingly said of Haaland’s missed opportunities that they left him unable to sleep.
“He had incredible chances and could have scored 14 or 15 goals. That means we’re playing well.” I always feel like the team is doing quite well because of the number of chances Erling gets.
If there is no participation in opportunities, there is something wrong with our situation and dynamics. I can’t sleep because of the missed opportunities.
My advice is not to criticize Erling too much. Judge the full-back, the center-back or the manager, but never the striker who scores goals, because he will do it and then you will be able to apologize to him.
