Ranknik: “It’s no coincidence that six or seven Liverpool players played in Germany”
Ralph Rangnick praised the good work of the teams in Germany and emphasized that it is no coincidence that many Liverpool FC players come from the Bundesliga.
Manchester United meet Liverpool at Anfield on Tuesday, with both teams wanting the three-pointer for different reasons.
At the press conference, Red Devils coach Ralph Rangnick praised the German teams and the work they are doing in his country, citing the example of the Reds, who have brought many players from the Bundesliga,
“It is no coincidence that they are so good. Jürgen has built this team over the last 6.5 years. Six or seven of those players were my players or players from German teams who we took on when nobody knew them.
“It’s no coincidence that this is probably the club with the most players from German teams because their approach, their style of football, their style of play are quite similar.”
Santo Mane played at Salzburg for two years before moving to England in 2014 and wearing the Southampton shirt, as did Minamino, who stayed in Austria for five years.
Keita and Konate were also two transfers from the Reds from Leipzig. Firmino even worked with Rangnik at Hoffenheim while Matip played for Schalke.
