Klopp: “I have never seen a more unfair game in my life, the referee’s decisions are crazy”
Jürgen Klopp was angry about the whistles against Liverpool in the 1-2 defeat against Tottenham Hotspur in London, pointed out crazy decisions and was proud of his players’ performance.
Liverpool held a hard-fought point in their hands and played against Tottenham with 10 men from the 26th minute and with 9 men from the 69th minute, but in the sixth minute of stoppage time they lost 2-1 due to Matip’s own goal.
In the final, Jürgen Klopp was not only proud of his players’ performance, but also heavily complained about the refereeing, claiming that Diaz’s goal in the first half was not offside and neither Curtis Jones nor Diogo Zota was called.
“I have never seen a more unfair game. The first yellow against Zota is never a yellow as long as Jones hasn’t made a bad tackle, he’s put his foot on the ball. There is no offside on Diaz’s goal, they drew the wrong lines.”
At halftime, someone opened the phone and we saw it on Instagram or Twitter. It hit us hard tonight. We would celebrate the point, but now we no longer have a point. I’ve never been so proud of the team.
I have never seen a game with more unfair and crazy refereeing decisions. My players are monsters the way they fought. They are mountains of people,” emphasized the German coach, among other things.
