Cathy, wife of Manchester United legend Sir Alex Ferguson, has died aged 84.

The family of the legendary Manchester United manager announced the sad news on Friday (6/10), saying: “It is with deep sadness that we confirm the death of Lady Cathy Ferguson, who leaves behind her husband, three sons, two sisters, 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The family requests privacy at this time.”
“Everyone at Manchester United extends our deepest condolences to Sir Alex Ferguson and his family on the death of Lady Cathy, a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother who gave Sir Alex strength throughout his career. United wrote in its condolence statement.
